The Doors were an American rock band formed in the mid 60s with vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore.

They were one of the most influential rock acts of the time, known for both their music and frontman Jim Morrison's charismatic, but often erratic, stage persona and lyrics that touched on rebellion and social issues. This controversial edge made them stand out from the peace-and-love vibe of many other bands at the time.

Despite their short career cut short by Morrison's death in 1971, The Doors were incredibly successful. They released six studio albums in just five years, many considered classics, including their self-titled debut (1967), "Strange Days" (1967), and "L.A. Woman" (1971). Songs like "Light My Fire," "Break On Through (To the Other Side)," and "Riders on the Storm" are still radio staples today.
